Children's Eye Exams
The American Academy of Opthalmology and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that a child's first vision screening be conducted as a newborn- prior to being discharged from the hospital! Visual function will be monitored by your child's pediatrician during the well-child exams. If there are any signs of an eye condition, your child will be referred to an eye care provider, like us.
Contact Lens Fitting
Contact lenses are an alternative to glasses for correcting refractive errors. There are numerous contact lenses available to fit almost any patient's needs.
If you wear, or are interested in wearing contact lenses, be sure to inform your eye doctor when scheduling your appointment! Additional time is needed to fit and evaluate contacts.
Advanced Medical Testing
Sometimes in an exam, the doctors will see something that requires further analysis. Rather than always have to refer you out to an opthamologist, our doctors have additional education and training to perform required medical testing in-house! When a condition does need further monitoring, we work with the best medical doctors in the area to get you seen promptly.
Emergency Care
If you have an eye-related emergency, please call our office immediately. We will do our best to see you as soon as possible. You can use our answering service to reach us outside of business hours.
In the case of serious emergencies, you should proceed quickly to the nearest hospital emergency room.
Laser Refractive Pre/Post Op Care
Some patients may benefit from laser refractive surgery procedures, such as LASIK, which are designed to reduce or eliminate the need for other corrective options.
While pre and post operative care can be handled in our office, following diagnosis, the doctors can refer you to an eye care professional who specializes in laser refractive surgeries.
Please call to set up a consultation.
